A 30-year-old Douglas man was found severely beaten and unconscious Sunday morning at the Sunspots mobile home park.

Oscar Sodari was air-evacuated to the University Medical Center in Tucson, said Marcus Gonzalez, the spokesman for the Douglas Police Department.

At about 6:40 a.m. a woman living at Sunspots found Sodari lying on the street as she was about to head out to the store.

Sodari was lying on the asphalt next to the concrete sidewalk at the 2200 block of Warpath. He had shallow breathing and was found with severe trauma to the face and head, Gonzalez said.

Douglas paramedics administered first-aid before Sodari was air-evacuated.

Neighbors heard a possible fight in the early morning, but details were unclear, Gonzalez said.

The police are continuing their investigation and arrests are pending.

" Come on people enough!! We should all stop and think what is the best way to approach this matter. Maybe sunspots does need a good cleaning up, I think it should be up to the manager to start making it look better. We as parents should know we need to keep our children away from that stuff. And some parents choose to turn there back on this. Which is a disgrace! KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AWAY FROM DRUGS PLEASE! So lets clean up not just sunspots all of Douglas! "

" yes it is wrong to say an area is really bad when there are really nice people who live among bad people but we also must see that SOME of the comments are right there are in fact alot of drugs and such in sunspots i have myself seen and smelt pot when i drive by the large group of kids standing outside of a few of the trailer homes there and look at the traffic at some of the homes we all get visitors but they come during normal hours and not by the hundreds "

" That last input was really harsh, see instead of coming up with solutions, people blame each other! Why can we all see that just because something bad like that happen there at sunspots, dosent mean its corrupt. It could have happen any where. But because the people there at sunspots are low to middle class people they are looked down on. We as a community need to help people in need and not make matters worst. Bad things happen in this world and it is our duty to make it better. So no more insults!!! "

" Speaking for myself and my family. I keep my front yard clean as well as my back yard. Yes many people there don't keep their yards clean but I know that my neighbors that live around my area do. Again just because some people choose to live like pigs doesn't mean that all of the rest of the residents of Sunspots are pigs "

THE LADY WHO GOES OUTSIDE TO SMOKE SHOULD CLEAN THE FRONT OF HER HOUSE AND PROBABLY THE INSIDE INSTEAD OF DOING NOTHING AND JUST SMOKING. "

" I was raised in sunspots and it was a quiet place and the residents here were very peaceful too. Just because bad things have happen there don't mean its a bad place. It's more OUTSIDE PEOPLE that bring bad stuff there. I do have to admit it does need a good cleaning. But I dont see why people think the worst in all residents that live there. And are quick to talk down to people that live there. People that do make a honest living there!!! Not all residents there are bad. Don't judge a book by its cover! "

" I have been a resident of Sunspots for many years. Not all residents are drug addicts or gangsters. Alot of residents are working class citizens and were out earning an honest living supporting our families. It is a known fact that most disturbances at Sunspot have been caused by non-residents. Yes their has been lower class citizens that have moved in and eventually move out could that be why Sunspot has such a bad name, possibly. I sit outside my house in the evenings and I don't fear for my life it's not as bad as people think it is. "

" Sunspot should be closed down! it is little more than a drug and gang haven. Why isn't the owner made to clean up that mess. and so close to a school. How can it be good for the kids to be exposed to that crime. Maybe Huber would no have such a drug problem id something was done about sunspot. "

" you see when people call letting you known about other things like driving to fast kids standing on the street but don't move, you as the police should of seen this coming. This part has gotten worst part because you don't do your job to "protect". I understand that the other half is our part but we have to work together. Maybe this could open your eye's & make you see that you need to pick up the trash around here & Douglas now I know that we are good people still left here we need that change. "

" This is a small town; everyone here knows everyone. If people want to know what is going on we ask each other. Everybody knows who the low lifes in this town are. No one, including the police, can say that they have no idea. They lend a blind eye to crime. It has become my opion that, either the police are afraid to do something with respect to the problems, or are somehow benefited by it. "

Don't let the problem get out of hand. The cops know who is causing trouble. Clean it up.
