Memorial Day Candlelight Ceremony May 26 in SV

Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor those who have paid the supreme sacrifice while serving our nation. 


The Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery will hold its annual Memorial Day candlelight ceremony, on Monday, May 26, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM located at 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-8-AZ) is the featured speaker for the ceremony. The 36th U.S. Army Band Quintet and the musical vocal group,

The Cochise Chordsmen, will provide music. 

This year’s ceremony is being hosted by the Wild West Detachment, Marine Corps League from Tombstone, Arizona.

Veteran’s groups wishing to participate, or for further information, should contact Joe Larson, Cemetery Administrator Southern Arizona Veterans Cemetery.
