Next week on Wednesday, 14th we have late start for the Kinders.

This month our colors are  black and white and review all shapes.

Ms. Hernandez and Ms. Alma – 4 year olds

We talked about the Battle of Mexico, 5 de Mayo and we painted a Mexican flag. We learned the colors black and white. We also talked about moms and dads and why we love and take care of them.

We made a surprise gift for mom and dad. We practiced a play and song for our mom and dad program.

Ms. Sandy and Ms. Tere– CTE/ECE High School/Pre-school Program

The CTE/ECE program has come to an end for our preschoolers.

Our last day was Wednesday, the 7th, on Thursday, the 8th, we will have our end of the year program at 12:00pm.

All parents are welcome to attend!

Throughout our year, the pre-school students have learned so much! Things like self-control, being a good friend, independence, some sign language, songs, responsibility, and so much more! One of the exciting things is the new words they’ve learned!

Most of them know the meaning of the words: prediction, gobble, giggle, vicious, village, intelligent, invisible, hullabaloo, moan, and collection.

The high school students worked hard all year to mentor their pre-school buddies and to teach them new skills.

The “big buddies”, as the pre-schoolers called them, also learned about infant and toddler development, developmental skills of pre-school aged children, brain development, developmentally appropriate practices, and more.

I’d like to recognize those high school  students whose leadership skills have really developed in my class this year.

They are: Edith Rodriguez, Patty Valencia, Cindy Galindo, Stephanie Ebner, Bob Flores, Jessica Acosta, Evelyn Romero, and Itzel Rico. Their leadership in theclassroom director or teacher role was great!
