SIERRA VISTA — The Sheriff’s  Office  is  conducting a homicide investigation after an Elfrida man was found dead Tuesday at his home.

An acquaintance of Ronald Turner, 45, visited his home Tuesday, and subsequently called the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office to report his death, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carol Capas said.

Deputies responded to the call about 6:30 p.m., in the 10000 block of Jones Avenue in the unincorporated Elfrida settlement area, and found Jones dead of multiple gunshot wounds, she said.

Little else is being released about the investigation at this time.

The body was transported to the Cochise County Medical Examiners Office, where an autopsy was completed which confirmed the death to be homicide by gunshots, Capas said.

Any information from the public that could be relevant to the investigation is sought by the Sheriff’s Office.
