1,229 pounds of marijuana seized from Douglas home

   Agents and officers in Douglas seized more than 1,200 pounds of marijuana from a Douglas home.


   On June 1 the Douglas Police Special Response Team issued a search warrant at 1006 5th Street stemming from a joint narcotics investigation between Douglas police and Immigration and Customs Enforcement(ICE), said Marcus Gonzalez, the spokesman for the Douglas Police Department.

  The agents and officers seized 1,229 pounds of marijuana from the home with a street value of $600,000.

   Two people were arrested as a result of the search warrant. The investigation was turned over to ICE and more arrests are pending.
