Art classes at the Gallery for youth

Youth Art Classes will be held at the Douglas Art Gallery for young people 7 – 13 years old. All classes will be on Saturdays with a materials fee of $.50 per class. Anyone interested may register now by visiting the Gallery or call 364-6410. Made possible by a grant from the Cochise Community Foundation, these classes will be taught by well-qualified local artists. See the schedule below:


June 7th, 10:30-12:30 – Salt Dough Magnets Ages 7-13 Instructors: Nina and Sonya Allen

June 14th, Youth Drawing Class I – Drawing and Painting will be explored and developed. If you can draw a triangle, a circle, and a square, you can draw anything. Individual development will be encouraged. Instructor: Bary McInerney  B.F.A., M.F.A., S.F.I.A. 10a.m.-noon for ages 7-10; 12:30-2:30p.m. for ages 11-13                                                      

 June 21st, 10:30-12:30 - Puff Paint  Ages 7-13  Instructors: Nina & Sonya Allen

June 28th, Youth Drawing Class II Instructor: Bary McInerney B.F.A., M.F.A., S.F.I.A. 10a.m.-noon for ages 7-10 and 12:30-2:30p.m. for ages 11-13
