Douglas Border Patrol arrests wanted murderer

Tucson, AZ—Border Patrol Agents arrested a 22 year old Mexican National male with active warrant for “Criminal Homicide.”


Thursday, Douglas Agents arrested a man later identified as Mario Ramirez-Jimenez, from Mexico, near Douglas, Arizona. Records checks revealed that Ramirez had an active warrant out of Nashville, Tennessee for “Criminal Homicide.”       

The warrant was issued March 27, 2003 by the Juvenile courts in Nashville, Tennessee. The warrant was confirmed and the state of Tennessee will extradite.   

In the past eight months 14% of the individuals arrested by the Tucson Sector Border Patrol had criminal records.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation’s borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
