Baseball showcase to be held in Douglas on July 19 at CKS

\Former major league pitcher Richard Barker, a major league scout for the Anaheim Angels and associate scout Mike Johnson will be hosting a professional baseball showcase Saturday, July 19 at Copper King Stadium.


If you think you have what it takes to play professional baseball or want to be evaluated by a professional scout this is one showcase you don’t want to miss.

The tryout is open for anyone 14-21 years of age.

Registration takes place at 8 a.m. followed by baseball evaluations from 9-12:30. From 1-3:30 p.m. there will be a game between those trying out.

Cost is $100 to tryout and each participant must sign a waiver before being allowed to tryout.

Pre-registration can be done in Douglas this weekend at the Fourth of July Fiestas.
