The site has remained vacant since Wal-Mart moved across the street, but signs of life on another section of the old store on Fifth Street are now visible.

Fallas Paraedes, is part of the Factory 2-U company and is planning to open one site in Douglas.

Stage moved into a portion of the old Wal-Mart store a few years ago, but now Fallas Paraedes is joining them.

News of the move popped up in late 2007, but this is the first activity since that initial  rumor.

The company has put up a temporary sign and construction has started inside  the remaining portion of the building. At this point it is not known if they will take up the reminder of the building of not.

Fallas Pareades is part of the Factory 2-U family of stores, and has six Arizona locations, including three in Phoenix and one each in Yuma, Mesa and Glendale. The stores are mainly located in the West and most of the stores are located in Texas and California.

The store sells discounted priced clothing for men, women, boys, girls and infants, uniforms, toys and domestics.
