APS is a big business that offers friendly customer service and a reliable product.

In July 2008 the Douglas Chamber of Commerce selected APS as the Large Business of The Year.

“We were thrilled to hear the news from the Douglas Chamber of Commerce that APS was selected as the Large Business of The Year,” said Don Huggins, energy delivery man for APS. “Our APS/Douglas team works very hard to provide stellar service to our customers, while supporting our community in so many ways.”

Huggins said that as he reflected on some of APS’s accomplishment this year, he is reminded of the spirit and dedication demonstrated by the staff while supporting programs such as the Solar Trough project at the Cochise College campus, the Leadership Academy, the Power Players program for the Douglas kids, the Hometown tour with the Diamondback Players, the Low Income/Energy Assistance seminar, and the PASS program, just to name a few.

“I'm very proud of our team, they truly have ‘The Power to Make It Happen’ along with the passion to improve the quality of life for our community, above and beyond sending electricity down the line,” Huggins said. “All of us at APS are delighted that our efforts are appreciated, and honored to be recognized with this award.”
