3 from county to attend conventions

SIERRA VISTA —  A trio of Cochise County residents have been chosen to attend the upcoming Democratic and Republican National Conventions.


Attending the Democratic event in Denver from Aug. 25-28 will be Chris Campas, who is currently a candidate for Cochise County Board of Supervisors District 1. He will be a delegate.

The two area Republicans who will be going to the GOP event in Minneapolis-St. Paul from Sept. 1-4 are Gail Griffin and Casey Jones.

Griffin, who will be a delegate, is chairwoman of the Cochise county Republican Committee and a former state legislator. Jones, who will be an alternate delegate, is second vice chairman of the county Republican group and a former Sierra Vista councilman.
