SIERRA VISTA — The remains of a yet another body were discovered Wednesday evening, making it the fourth body found in the past week.

Deputies on scene found the remains of a woman who is believed to be an illegal immigrant. She was wearing black jeans, black shirt and black shoes. Due to decomposition, the woman’s age could not be determined. She had no identification with her, and there were no obvious signs of foul play.
The remains were transported to the county Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the exact date and cause of death.
Early Tuesday, a man’s body was found near South Coronado Memorial Road. The body was 4 1/2 miles from Highway 92, approximately 4,000 feet north of the border. Again, an age could not be determined because of decomposition. He had no identification on him.
On Sunday, the Sheriff’s Office received word of a body at mile post 3.9 on High Lonesome Road. In the beginning stages of decomposition, the body was determined to be that of a man.
On Saturday, U.S. Border Patrol agents alerted the Sheriff’s Office that they found the remains of a body in the hills east of the Gold Gulch area between Bisbee and Douglas. The person had been dead for some time, and authorities believe it was a woman.
The Mexican Consulate was notified of all four bodies and is assisting in identification and the notification of next of kin if possible. Capas said the latest discovery is the 12th body found in the county this year.
