Nine area wineries plus nine local restaurants are providing the ingredients for the second annual Opening Night Delights, the overture to the new Sierra Vista Symphony season that begins Saturday, September 13. The 5 PM to 6:30 event. sponsored by the Symphony League, is to be held in the Grand Salon of the new Garden Place Suites, 100 N. Garden Avenue.

“The Symphony League is so excited to have these local wineries participating in our event for the first time,” acknowledges Sue Nagle, the organization’s chair.
Appetizers prepared by Sierra Vista’s leading restaurants are also featured. The culinary skills of the Mesquite Tree, Pueblo del Sol Country Club, the Outback, Delios, Ricardo’s, Pizza Hut, Vinney’s, Bright Spot and Maestro’s at the Windemere Hotel are featured.
Notable Arizona Opera baritone Reynaldo Romo is to sing several selections for the benefit of the guests. Mr. Romo is also a member of the Symphony’s board of directors.
Offered as a fund-raiser for the Sierra Vista Symphony Association, Opening Night Delights’ tickets are available at $25 per person. The ticket price includes the appetizers, a drink selection, and reserved parking at Buena Performing Arts Center for the “Tall Tales, Myths and Legends,” the inaugural concert of the 2008-2009 season. Tickets are available at Dillard’s, Safeway, and the Greater Sierra Vista Area Chamber of Commerce. The number of tickets available is limited.
Nagle urges guests to get their tickets early so they won’t miss “this elegant evening.”
