If you want to learn the basics of computers, the Douglas Public Library is offering a one-hour class each Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

Best of all, the classes are free to all Douglas residents.

The students will be working with brand new laptops recently purchased by the library.

People interested in taking a class must sign up at the library, said Victoria Yarbrough, the librarian at the Douglas Public Library.

Each class will take up to fifteen students. The Tuesday class will be held at 7p.m.; the Wednesday class will be held at 9:30 a.m.

Computer expert Lawana Diffie will conduct the class. Diffie is highly knowledgeable in both hardware and software.

The program was supported with funds granted by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records Agency under the Library Services and Technology Act, which is administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

For more information call the Douglas Public Library at 364-3851.
