Annual Teen Maze in Douglas set for Oct. 2

The Cochise County Helath Deprtment is hosting the Teen Maze in Douglas  from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursdday, October 2.


More than 600 8th and 10th grade student are expected to participate

Did you know:

√ Seventy-five  percent of the high school girls who become pregnant will drop out ofhigh  school?

√ Children  as young as 13 are learning about gun safety and the consequences of  bringing guns to school?

√ Arizona law is  zero tolerance for drunk drivers – and drivers under 18 if caught  drinking and driving can be arrested?

√ Just one bad choice can change a  13-year-old’s life forever?

The Cochise County Teen Maze is an interactive event that delivers life-altering consequences for bad choices.

Students are given a scenario and then sent to a station to hear the repercussions for their actions.

Students are presented information in the following areas: gangs, pregnancy, birth control, gun safety, sexually transmitted diseases, suicide, depression, domestic violence, rape, healthy relationships, emergency situations, self image, the law, tobacco and substance abuse and career tracks.
