This week we continue reading fairy tales.  We will read 2 versions of Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel and compare and contrast them.  Each student will plant their beanstalk with a “magic seed” and will make their own Rapunzel character puppets and tower.  At the end of the week, each student will decide which fairy tale was their favorite, retell it in their own words and explain why they it was their favorite.  We’ll make a class graph to see which one most students liked.
