SIERRA VISTA — Trudy Berry and Raul Torrez have been busy.

As both vie for the Cochise County school superintendent position, Berry as the incumbent and Torrez as the newcomer, their schedules are packed with meetings and events as they try to make their cases.

“A lot of activities,” said Berry, the Republican candidate. “I think every weekend there’s at least four or five events that I could maybe attend.”

“I kind of wish I could clone myself,” Torrez, the Democratic candidate, said with a laugh. “I’m just trying to follow through on the schedule.”
