DOUGLAS — The Cochise County Fair Association recognized six foster families from around Cochise County on Sept. 28 for their commitment and service to the county’s children and youth needing foster care.

Those who were recognized were Ramon and Adela Gonzalez of Douglas, Martin and Lydia Meadows of Sierra Vista, Phyllis Schofield of Willcox, Robert and Christina Riddle of Bisbee, Paul and Valissa Stanley of Sierra Vista, and Lillian Flores and her children of Huachuca City.

The Fair Board had chosen Sept. 28 to be Foster Family Recognition Day and provided admittance tickets to all Cochise County foster parents and their families to enjoy a day at the fair.

Foster Care Connection is currently looking for good individuals or families for children 8 to 17 years old and homes for sibling groups of two or more.
