Douglas residents braved the Sunday morning wind to watch the Veterans Day Parade up G. Ave. Sergeant Ramon “Mono” Rabago was the grand marshal with Roberto “Chubby” Flores and Dick Keith being the honored guests. There was a tribute to the veterans following the parade at the Veteran’s Memorial Park.

" I was just reading about the Veteran's Day Parade. It does me great honor and pride to know that Douglas takes pride and supports our veterans. I would also like to send a special thanks to Mrs. RoseMary Owen for taking time and doing the veterans of this country a great honor by having an assembly. The tireless effort she puts into these assemblies are immeasureable. Mrs Owen is my mother. As a veteran myself I would like to thank the people of Douglas for their support to the troops.

    Very Respectfully,
