The Cochise County Board of Supervisors Tax Deed Land Auction will take place on Monday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m., at the County Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, 1415 Melody Lane Building G, at Bisbee, AZ 85603.

This is the first land auction to be held in more than five years. The first sale will offer a limited number of properties located in the northern region of the county followed by a larger land auction early in 2009.

Properties within Cochise County held by the state by tax deed will be offered for sale to the public. There are a total of 43 units offered in the auction, each containing 2 or more parcels. At the conclusion of the bidding for units on the auction list, parcels from unsold units will be offered for bid individually. Units/parcels that do not sell at the auction will be offered for sale “over-the-counter” on a continuous basis at the Board of Supervisors’ office.

The Board of Supervisors will execute, record and deliver to the purchaser of these units/parcels a deed conveying the title of the state in and to the purchased property free of all liens (existing easements remain). Back taxes due on the parcels sold at auction will be eliminated.

A complete Frequently Asked Questions section about the auction can be found on the county web at cochise.az.gov. The informational site also includes a complete list of parcels, information for registering bids and an interactive map of all properties.
