After the game Cochise College coach Jerry Carrillo said he has a good group of guys who are willing to play unselfish basketball.
“These guys understand our system and we’re scoring the ball,” he said.
After two games the coach said his team definitely needs to improve defensively.
“I like our ability to attack the basket and score,” the coach said.
The coach admitted after weeks of practice his team was anxious to get out on the court and play a game that counts.
The Apaches head to Midland, Tex. to play three games in three days. Cochise will face Wayland Baptist on Thursday, Odessa on Friday and Midland on Saturday.
“When we come back we begin league play at Pima so this is a big week for us to get ready for league play,” Carrillo said.
