“Without Border Patrol intervention, the female would have sustained life threatening injuries due to the lack of water and below freezing temperatures,” states a press release.
The Tucson sector of Border Patrol currently has 69 state certified trained emergency medical technicians at the different stations and 44 active Borstar members. For fiscal year 2008, more than 440 persons were rescued by agents.
