California man arrested on fugitive warrant

A California man was arrested in Douglas on Jan. 3 in connection with a fugitive warrant, said sheriff authorities.

 Ysidro Careto-Belalanzo, 47, is wanted out of Los Angeles County for transportation of dangerous drugs, said Carol Capas, spokeswoman for the Cochise County Sheriff’s Department.

He was first apprehended by Border Patrol agents at about 7p.m. Sheriff’s deputies took him into custody and booked him at the county jail at about 9:22p.m. He is being held with no bond.
