Man stabbed in back, does not report assailant

A Bay Acres man was stabbed in the back early Friday morning but refused to report his assailant to sheriff’s deputies.

The man, whose man was not released, was assaulted at the 2500 block of Aster Street in Bay Acres, said Carol Capas, the spokeswoman for the Cochise County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim, 21, refused medical treatment and no arrests were made, Capas said. The assault occurred at 1:16 a.m. on Jan 2, 2009.
