Southeastern Arizona DUI Task Force deployment results

During the holiday weekend of December 26 through 31, 2008 members of the Southeastern Arizona DUI Task Force conducted a detail throughout Cochise County. Officers from the Sheriff’s Office, and other local law enforcement agencies provided the following results:       


Traffic Stops    747

Citations    309

Warnings    508       

FST's    48       

Extreme DUI    4

DUI under 21 years old    4

DUI Arrests    15

Drug Arrests    11         

Underage Alcohol Violations    18       

Seat Belt Violations (28-909A)    22

Child Restraint Violations (28-907A)    6

Warrant arrests    3

Felony Other Arrests    55

Sheriff Dever encourages everyone to continue being responsible in 2009 when drinking and consider the new and tougher legislation regarding Drinking and Driving. 

“Our goal is to keep all of our citizens safe, and continued details will be scheduled throughout the coming year.” Dever said.
