For children kindergarten age through 21 years, please contact your local school and ask to speak with your child’s teacher and/or the special education teacher regarding your concerns.
Ms. M Hernandez and Ms. Alma – 4 year olds
We have started with the color pink and the heart shape. We made a painting focusing on the heart shape. We are learning the letters P, Q, R. We read the story “Me and My Friend” and we talked about friendship and made a friendship decoration using different colors and heart shapes.
Ms. Minerva and Mr. Jesus – 4 year olds
Monday- Students were introduced top theme of the week “Body Parts”. We went over the many body parts that humans have and their functions. Tuesday- Students painted their bodies on a body pattern. They painted the clothes that they wear and the way they see themselves. Wednesday- Students created a body parts collage. They cut out different body parts out from magazines and glued them to construction paper. Thursday- Students created their body out of pasta. They used a variety of pasta designs to create the human body on construction paper.
Ms. Diana and Ms. Elena – 4 year olds
This week we are learning about “Pet and their Care”. What kind of pets can we have at home, how do we take care of them, do we play with the, how safe are pets, etc. By having family pets we learn responsibility, empathy for others. Most common pets are; fish, birds, dogs, cats, etc. the children will make a fish coloring a coffee filters with crayons and markers. Then we wet the coffee filter and let it dry. After the filter is fry they cut out a fish shape and decorate it. The children also made a dog pet using different size hearts to put is together. They will also decorate the capital letter D as “Doggie Doctor” because we also learned about “Veterinarian” and what kind of a job they do.
