Sarah Alvarado Valencia passed away on January 23, 2009, in Tucson, AZ.  Mrs. Valencia was born in Douglas, AZ on September 8, 1923.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Moreno Valencia, and her son, Antonio A. “Kika” Valencia.  She is survived by daughters: Alice (Armando) Flores of Safford, AZ; Mary (Adalberto) Bernal, Esperanza Valencia, and Celina (Gilbert) Estrada of Tucson, AZ; and Ana Valencia and Monica Montes De Oca of Douglas, AZ.  Sons: Emilio Jr., (Rametl) of Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico; Albert (Rosalinda) of Phoenix, AZ; and Carlos (Olivia) of Tucson, AZ.  She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.  The family wishes to thank the members of Valor Hospice in Tucson, AZ, for their compassionate care of our Mother.   Private family services will be held at a later date with internment at Calvary Cemetery.
