Business seminar at Chamber meet

On Tuesday, February 17, the Douglas Chamber of Commerce, in an effort to help all small businesses, will sponsor a 90-minute presentation by SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Executives).


The general topic will be “Managing during tough times.”

The Chamber invites all that are interested in helping their business succeed in our tough economy to attend. There will be a question-and-answer period and an opportunity to arrange for continued assistance and help from SCORE and the Small Business Administration. SCORE will also provide information for numerous sources that will assist all businesses The Chamber will hold its customary luncheon at noon followed by the presentation at the Lions Club, Estrella Avenue and 9th Street in Douglas.

The cost of the luncheon is only $10 per person and will feature your choice of chicken or roast beef along with mashed potatoes, vegetables and roll.

Businesses are encouraged to attend along with anyone having an interest in business, the program is geared toward those businesses wanting to succeed in these  difficult economic times.
