Monday rollover kills one on Brooks

A rollover  accident on Brooks Road killed one person and injured three others on Monday, February 16.


Border Patrol agents were flagged down by two of the injured accident victims as they walked south on Brooks Road looking for help.

The accident was discovered at 11:15 p.m. Monday at Milepost 2.5 on Brooks Road, but the accident had occurred several hours earlier.

When arriving, Border Patrol agents found a white Jeep Grand Cherokee with rollover damage along with the victim.

The three injured individuals from the accident  had built a fire to keep warm and to signal. When Border Patrol arrived at the vehicle, some medical personnel were on hand providing assistance.

No identification of the victims was available.
