Douglas High School to have AIMS test

Douglas High School will have the following schedule on February 24th and 25th due to AIMS testing. 


AIMS Writing will take place on Tuesday, February 24th and AIMS Reading on Wednesday, February 25th.  The schedule will be as follows: 

All Freshmen will be taking AIMS Pre-Tests in the auditorium on both days and will not be released before 1:00 p.m.  (A full lunch will be provided to all 9th grade students.)

All sophomores will be testing on both days.

Juniors and Seniors who have not yet passed Reading and/or Writing must attend and pass in order to graduate.

Juniors who are retaking to Exceed must attend.

Juniors and Seniors who have passed all tests and are not retaking to exceed will not be attending school on those dates.

There will be no regularly scheduled classes, including Zero Period, at DHS on February 24th or 25th in order to provide a dedicated testing environment.

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors may work on the AIMS tests until 2:00 p.m.

Students who finish early must remain in the testing rooms until 11:30 a.m. at which time they may leave campus.

DUSD Nutrition Services will provide snacks in all testing rooms.

Lunch carts will be available for students in grades 10-12 after they have completed testing.

Buses to and from DHS will run at their regularly scheduled times.

Bus students who finish testing early may either report to the DHS Library or arrange for alternate transportation home.
