Nestor R. Corella passed away January 28, 2009 in Tucson, AZ. Nestor was born on September 5, 1917 in Agua Prieta, Sonora to Jesus and Maria Corella. Surviving is his wife Blanca of 43 years of marriage.  Surviving also are his daughters Patricia (Gus) Brown, Christina (Armando) Valdez, Rachel Corella, Sarah Corella, Rafaelita Corella,  and sons Nestor Corella, Abelardo Corella, Fernando Corella, Luis Corella, and Jose Corella. Also surviving are his brothers Manuel Jesus Corella, David Corella, Oscar Corella, and sister Rosa Moreno Corella. Nestor leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was a retired mill operator from Phelps Dodge Corporation. After his retirement Nestor served in the Lions Club, Los Viejos Amigos, was involved in community and church service, enjoyed playing the guitar, and was avid public speaker. Viewing will be Monday, February 2, 2009-4-6 p.m. at Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be Monday, February 2, 2009-7:00 p.m. in the main chapel of Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be, Tuesday, February 3, 2009-10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luis Corella, Matthew Corella, Ryan Newcomb, Russell Brown, Gus Brown, and Carlos Arvayo. Honorary-Pallbearers will be Fernando Corella, Armando Valdez, Larry Romero, Manuel Jesus Corella, David Corella, and Jorge Barraza. Care entrusted to Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel, 364-2121, Funeral Director Alex Espinosa.
