Mrs. Margarita Garcia, longtime Pirtleville resident passed away February 5, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.


Margarita was born June 10, 1936 in Bavispe, Sonora, Mexico to Isabel Ramirez and Herminia Robles.  She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Pirtleville and a wonderful housewife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Juan L. Garcia, a sister, a granddaughter and grandson.

Margarita is survived by her Daughters Maria A. Garcia and Maricela G. (Alfredo) Ruiz.

Her Stepsons Mario J. Garcia, Jose (Terry) Pichardo and Angel (Norma) Pichardo.

She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, her brother Manuel Ibarra, her sister Ursula Ramirez along with numerous nephews and nieces who will all miss her greatly.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 10, 2009 at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Pirtleville.   A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 also at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church with Father Armando Espinoza officiating.  Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Pirtleville, Arizona.  Pallbearers who will serve are Manuel Ibarra, Alfredo Ruiz, Martin Ramirez, Francisco Ibarra, Mario Garcia, Octavio Garcia, Jesus Ibarra and Antonio Ibarra.
