Douglas resident is one of two dead in Highway 191 wreck

Two died and two more were injured in a two-vehicle accident about six miles south of McNeal on Friday evening, February 20.

At 6:42 p.m. Friday, a black Nissan four door crossed over into the northbound lane to pass another vehicle when it collided head-on with a gray 1990 Buick four-door, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Dead at the scene were the Nissan passengers, Hector Rivero-Toscano, 62, Mexico; and Daniel E. Herrera,  28, Douglas.

The drivers of both vehicles were injured and transported to University Medical Center in Tucson.

The driver of the Nissan was Hector A. Herrera, 19, Douglas; and the Buick driver was Aaron W. Grimsley, 46, Douglas.

    " I would like to make a correction , Daniel Herrera was only 18 years old and not 28 as said. I am really sad about this incident due to the fact that he was one of my friends. May god bless all of his family and keep Daniel resting in peace, we will always remember him. "
