Pereida was indicted in October 2008 on several sexual offenses which he committed between July of 2004 and September of 2008. Douglas Police Detectives arrested Pereida on October 24, 2008. Pereida then went through a jury trial this March and was convicted on 3 counts of sexual assault, which are class 2 felonies, and 1 count of sexual conduct with a minor, a class 6 felony. Pereida remains in custody at the Cochise County Jail pending sentencing.
