“Keep doing this in remembrance of me,” Jesus Christ told his disciples.

But, what are Jesus’ disciples to commemorate? And why is it so important for you to do so?

Find out on Thursday, April 9, when the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2227 Washington Avenue in Douglas, marks the anniversary of Christ’s death with a simple ceremony.

The event will be conducted in Spanish at 6:30 p.m. and in English at 8 p.m. that Thursday.

Each year, Jehovah’s Witnesses mark the anniversary of Jesus’ death with a simple ceremony. The answers to the questions  will be discussed at the event.

This year, the anniversary falls on Thursday, April 9, after sundown.

Jehovah’s Witnesses invite to join them in remembering the most important occasion in history. Also, the church will hold a special Bible talk entitled, “Is there a true religion from God’s standpoint,”  on Sunday, April 26, at the Kingdom Hall. The discussion will be presented in English beginning at 10 a.m., and in Spanish at 1 p.m. that Sunday.

" Most of the Jehovah's Witnesses practices IS based on the man-made dogmas of the Watchtower Bible and tract society and a little is from their interpretation of their own doctored up Bible.

If Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are not part of the 144,000 with a heavenly hope, why does Jesus say in Matthew 8:11 that they will be in the kingdom of heaven? "

" Interesting as the Jehovah's Witnesses have a contradiction here, as they say that Jesus had his 'return to power' aka second coming in the fall of 1914 (October)

How can they keep celebrating an event that has been fulfilled already according to their dogma?

" Must be a slow news day in your little burg, eh? Who cares what a crackpot flying saucer cult thinks, or jehovah's Witnesses, for that matter? They have been reliably wrong on every prediction they've ever made. A perfect 100% incorrect.

At the JW memorial, they pass the plate with the unleavened bread and the cup with the wine to all in attendance so that each can reject it in turn. Aleister Crowley would have liked that. "
