El Italiano recently added two new specialties –pizza and Chicago-style hot dogs.

Time To Eat El Italiano Restaurant recently has introduced the Chicago-style hot dogs to Douglas along with pizza. Armando Soto, an employee at the restaurant gets ready to take a big bite out of the hotdog, while Manager Jude Calderon shows off the new pizza now available by the pie or by the slice.

El Italiano, located on 10th Street is now offering pizza by the slice and by the pie.

Pizza lovers have a large variety of choices including Pepperoni, mushroom, red and green peppers, sausage, black olives and a variety of meats and cheeses available in El Italiano’s Deli.

A combination and vegetarian pizza is also available.

Pizza sizes are 10 and 16 inches.

Other Italian items include a new Italian Cheeseburger made fresh to order, and a family order of lasagna that one can cook at home.

The New Chicago-style hot dogs are different than other hot dogs one has had. The hot dog includes a Vienna beef hot dog on a poppyseed bun topped with tomato wedges, sport peppers, yellow mustard, chopped onion, celery salt, green relish and a pickle spear.

The hotdog is also served with French fries.

El Italiano is also continuing to serve its full menu of Italian food including soups, appetizers, salads, entrees, hot or cold sandwiches, and desserts.

Entrees include seafood along with Fettuccini Alfredo, Calzones, spaghetti, beef and cheese Ravioli, beef, vegetable lasagna and Manicotti.

The restaurant provides room to eat-in or take off  and accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and debit cards.

El Italiano is located at 1750 E. 10th Street. Call 805-0867 for lunch specials.
