DOUGLAS — Registration deadline is May 27 for the 14th Annual Douglas Economic Outlook Luncheon, presented by the Cochise College Center for Economic Research.

The event is scheduled for June 4 at the Cochise College Student Union, 4190 W. Highway 80. Doors will open at 11 a.m. with the program set to begin at 11:30 a.m. and conclude at 1:30 p.m.

This year’s program will include a presentation by Curtis Shook, city manager for the city of Douglas, who will discuss current and upcoming projects within the city. Robert Carreira, Ph.D., director of the CER, will provide a review of the Douglas economy over the past year, and an economic outlook for the coming year.

Cost for the event is $45 per person or $315 for a reserved table of eight (includes lunch and a copy of the 2009 Douglas Economic Outlook, a CER publication on the Douglas economy).

One unit of continuing professional education is available. To register, contact the CER at (520) 515-5486 or cer@cochise.edu.

The Cochise College Center for Economic Research is seeking sponsors for the luncheon. Sponsors help cover the cost of research conducted in preparation for the event, as well as research and production costs associated with preparing the Douglas Economic Outlook publication, released in conjunction with the luncheon. Call the registration number for information.
