DECA State winners

DECA recently traveled to Tucson, AZ to the DECA State Competition Conference.  Students competeted in role-plays on certain business areas.  Aileen Leyva and Ivan McGrew recieved medals for Traveling & Tourism Team Event.  Crystal Maldonado and Milu Herra recieved medals for Buying & Merchandising Team Event.  Crystal Maldonado, Milu Herrera, and Hector Rosales placed second in the 30-page written event on a Community Service Project.  Crystal, Milu, and Hector will be representing Arizona, as one of the top three teams, in the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Anaheim, California next month. “We want to thank Mr. Bates, Mr. Young, Mr. Paun, Mrs. Figueroa, and our three DECA Advisors: Mrs. Mora, Mr. Cormier, and Mr. Rojas for all the help they contributed to the project.  We greatly appriciate all their help.  Thanks again to all of you.”  - Hector, Crystal, & Milu
