" my my - DLL Board member - the one with the fake name - you see I do attend your meetings - I do get involved but why doesn't the board publish, in the paper the financial report - this way people will understand what is really going on.... DON'T BE SO DEFENSIVE!! If you publish the financial report people will not speculate and wonder - after all the bottom line here is the kids - they have nothing to do - lets work together as a community to make this work. See you at the next meeting. "

" Paying Parent. Did you know that if you took the time to attend the monthly Little League Meetings that are open to the public you could obtain a current financial report. This year's DLL Board cannot answer for the previous DLL Board but you can contact Luis Alvarez for that information "

    " To paying parent
Those accounts are available at each and every public meeting. Show up, get involved and you'll see instead of sitting at the computer behind a fake name and complaining like so many others do. If you going to make comments about the family business you'd better have proof - that can be cause for trouble and you'd better know what your talking about. "

" Umm Can you please post the LL accounts for the last couple of years. It will be very interested in seeing where the money IS going. (maybe to the family business) Show us paying parents where the money is going line by line. "

    " To DLL board:
We have explained this over and over at our public meetings and in the paper.
Don't you read the stories? Why don't you show up to the public meetings?
Our fee is $60. Sierra Vista did not inherit the bill we did from last year so we have to pay or bills or should we cancel all-stars?
Public you are NOT correct. We can and do request PROOF you are indigent. Those who dont pay will volunteer.
Next years fees will be higher when the city starts charging the leagues for lights and field usage. "

" Of course people always complain about what the fees are for sport activities for their children. Always wanting everything for free. Obviously you have never been involved in a program and have no idea everything you have to pay for to run one. "

" Douglas, just go register your kids for Little League. Tell them you can not pay. They CAN NOT turn a kid away who wants to play. They have to let them play. "

To LL Board wrote on Mar 13, 2009 2:06 PM:

" How come Sierra Vista registration is only $60.00, without having to pre purchase any fund raising tickets? That's not fair. Douglas is a smaller community and we still have to pay more. $30 goes along ways right now when money is tight. "
