 Jill Forsythe, Douglas High School English and Literature Teacher, was named the 2009 Cochise County High School Teacher of the Year on Friday, April 3rd, at the Windemere Hotel and Conference Center in Sierra Vista.   Forsythe, who has been teaching for twenty years, was one of three teachers nominated for the title.

Most cookbooks aimed at children have several huge flaws. College receives $1 million in grant, scholarship funding for new technical program
Cochise College has received a $500,000 grant from Science Foundation Arizona to start training students in mechatronics, an applied engineering program that prepares students to enter the workforce or continue their studies. The grant will be matched with a $500,000 endowed STEM Pathway Scholarship, established by the Cochise College Foundation, which will provide financial support to students enrolling in the new program.
