Gilbert M. Santa Cruz, 85, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away April 4, 2009 at the Veteran’s Hospital.


He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Santa Cruz, and his two grandchildren, Renee and Alex (Gordo) Santa Cruz.

He is survived by his three sons,, Gilbert, Jr. (Victoria), Frank (Rose) and Richard (Leticia); two brothers, Alejandro (Kno) and William Santa Cruz; two sisters, Norma Tavarez and Anita Galindo; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 17, 2009, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Carrillo’s Tucson Mortuary (South Chapel), 240 South Stone, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be offered Saturday, April 18,, 2009 at St. Monica’s Church, 212 W. Medina Road, off 12th  and Valencia, at 9 a.m.

Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements by Carillo’s Tucson Mortuary, Inc.
