According to the Cochise College Center for Economic Research’s latest biweekly survey of gas prices, conducted during the week of April 6, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Cochise County remained the same at $1.98 over the two-week period. According to AAA Arizona, the statewide price went down from $1.94 to $1.92 per gallon. Nationally, according to the Energy Information Administration, gas prices increased from $1.96 to $2.04 during the two-week period.

One year ago, the nationwide average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline, according to the EIA, was $3.33, which is $1.29 higher than its current price. At the state level, according to AAA Arizona, the price a year ago was $3.29, which is $1.37 higher than the current price per gallon. At the county level, according to the CER survey, the price a year ago was $3.33, which is $1.35 higher than the price from the most recent survey.
