Diana Judith Gonzales-Amarillas passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2009 in Douglas, AZ.


Diana was born March 21, 1957 to Manuel “Dickey” and Andrea “Loly” Amarillas in Douglas, AZ.

Surviving are her parents, sons Luis Carlos Amarillas, David Gonzales Jr., and daughter Patty Gonzales. Surviving also are her brother Manuel “Chichio” Amarillas, and sisters Dolores”Chacha” Rascon, and Delia Anderson. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren.

Diana worked for Hutronix and for the Douglas Unified School District. Diana will always be remembered for her cooking, baking, especially her famous banana-nut bread. She loved being a mother to everyone she new. Diana will be greatly missed.

Rosary for Diana was on Thursday, April 16, 2009-7:00 p.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church with Deacon Ed Gomez. Mass of the Resurrection was Friday, April 17, 2009-10:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church with Fr. Gilbert Malu. She was laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, in Douglas, AZ.

Pallbearers were Luis Carlos Amarillas, David Gonzales Jr., Luis Carlos Amarillas Jr., Kenny Rascon, Rene Rascon, and Manuel Amarillas Jr. Honorary-Pallbearers were Manuel Amarillas Sr., Robert Anderson, Raul Jimenez Jr., Daniel Amarillas, Diego Jimenez, Dominic Amarillas, Juan Luis Gonzales, and David Gonzales Sr. Care was entrusted to Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel, 364-2121, Funeral Director Alex Espinosa.
