The Douglas Farmers Market is kicking off its inaugural event on May 31.

It has scheduled weekly events each Sunday at Castro Park on 10th Street through October. The Farmer’s Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on those Sundays.

Now the group is looking for vendors including local farmers, ranchers backyard gardeners, beekeepers and growers, handmade crafts from local agricultural and garden products such as hand-woven woolen clothing or rugs, goat’s milk, soap, beeswax candles, emu oil lotion and lip balm, decorated gourds or luffa sponges, herbal remedies, dried floral or Chile wreaths.
