" PLEASE!!! Give us a break. Mr. Greer makes 24,000 for each job. Did you ever think that some teachers - who make 28,400 - have two jobs - teaching and toutering pluse taking home papers to grade plus putting leason plans together for free....so that means that they get paid 14,200 for each. HMMMM Still does not make sense. "

" I also wish that the decision best for our kids would have been chosen, but it was not. Closing RBMS would have been sad, but the correct thing to do. Now our children will be in one class for 8 hours. They will not be prepared for the differences of the high school, like changing classes, passing periods, and learning the different teaching techniques each of their 5 teachers will use. The worst part about this plan is that we all are stuck, works or not, FOR THREE YEARS! So if it is the worst idea and we figure out half way through next year, it doesn’t matter! What a mess! I can’t urge people enough, if you complain about something and nothing is done then keep going up the ladder to the next person. As parents we have to stand together for our kids! "

" You say it is all about who you know? How about Mr. Walker the athletic director who gets almost double the amount of Mr. Greer? For what, his secretary does all the work and he just puts his signature on the page. Ask yourself this do we really need an Athletic Director? Esp. one that does as little work as Mr. Walker? The coaches and the schools could and do easily what he does and they wouldn't have to pay close to 80,000.00. If it's really about the budget well there is one that could be cut! At least Luis Greer will be not just doing out of town trips and making sure our children get to school safely, but is head of security also! So if you split those two jobs it would be a little over 24,000. That is nothing for all the work he does. "

" Everyone seems to be saying that a particular coach does belong on the football field. Yet, there are three other coaches that have been involved with the Douglas football program for the better part of the last decade, losing seasons and all and yet "some" people believe they're qualified to be there. I say get rid of everyone who has been involved with the program's losing past. It's time to really practice what everyone in town so bluntly preaches behind closed doors and let the old political regime die and let new blood in. After all losing coaches = losing seasons. "

" How does the Board justify paying someone that coordinates bus movement,out-of-town trips, train bus drivers, etc...$49,736 when we have Highly Qualified teachers with graduate and undergraduate degrees and seniority being paid substantially less to educate, manage claasroom behavior, prepare lesson plans, take work home, listen to parents and students concerns, and take continuing education courses...go figure. It's time to revisit the salary schedule and look at credentials. "

" It is sad!!! Mr. Long does not have the coaching experience as the Coaches that were hired!

Who gives a rat's tail how long he has been with the kids. He can still take them to the snack bar after the games because that's all he did for them during the season.

Give it up - Long does not belong!!! "

" Instead of moving forward we are taking a huge step back. What were you thinking by having the jr.highs only one class. You guys are not thinking of the children once again you guys thought of yourselves. How are we going to prepare the students for high school? I still think you should have combined the two middle schools and closed the ray borane. but thats over and the only one affected is the childern once again. How are the teachers going to give these children the proper education when my child was at ray borane and had mr linsday as a reading teacher things were changed after the second semester and he went to mrs ramos he was so lost and behind because all he was taught the first semester was adding and subtraction but once again you the borad and school district don't care.. toooo bad "

" WOW how sad this is. A new teacher - with a degree - is being paid $28,400 yet a transportation coordinator - Santos Luis Greer - $49,736. What is wrong with you people? I hope that Mr. Greer has a Masters degree - if he does he deserves what he is getting paid.

Good luck to the football team. The head coach changed - everything else remained the same.... hmmmmm What happened to coach Long - he is the one that has been working with the kids since the end of last season.... once again hmmmmmmmm......

Elected officials - do you have answers to these concerns????? probably not!!! "
