Tee-ball season begins
The Douglas Tee-ball League kicked off its season recently with a colorful opening ceremonies that included a nice dedication to former Douglas resident Diana Gonzales. In the photo above two young teeballers hold the US flag while the national anthem is sung. Patty Gonzales, Diana’s daughter, surrounded by her kids, her brother David and her aunt, received a special bouqet of flowers from one of the teeball players. Over 200 kids are playing tee-ball this year on 14 different teams. Games are held every Monday through Thursday at the four ball fields located behind Paul Huber Junior High.
Hunter Ed class begins next week
