Cecilia “Cecy” Romero-Arvizu passed away on June 8, 2009 in Tucson, AZ. Cecy was born to Arnold Romero and Delfina Arvizu on August 21, 1953 in Douglas, AZ. Surviving Cecy is her husband Francisco V. Arvizu, daughters Yesenia Arvizu, and Cecilia Grijalva. Surviving also are her brother Arnold Romero, sisters Irma Romero, Beatriz Romero, Leticia Romero and 2 grandchildren. Cecy loved to collect coins, make people laugh, eat candy, travel, talk, and visit family and friends. Rosary was Thursday, June 11, 2009-7:00 p.m. at Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection was Friday, June 12, 2009-10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Armando Espinoza. Pallbearers were Alberto Peralta, Paul Maldonado, Jesus Arvizu Jr., Gino Pesqueira, Luis Antonio Valenzuela, and Allen Burgos. Honorary-Pallbearers were David Arvizu, Francisco Quintana, Rosalio Maldonado, Luis Peralta and Miguel Arvizu. She was laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. Care was entrusted to Adair Douglas Funeral Chapel, 364-2121, Funeral Director Alex Espinosa.
