With the stroke of a pen, Douglas Mayor Dr. Michael Gomez proclaimed this week “Lions Week” commemorating the 80 years the Lions have been in Douglas. Standing with the Mayor ar3e Brenda Vasquez, Lions President, and Frank Vasquez, Trustee. The Lions will celebrate their birthday during an award s dinner and dance beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at the Lions Club. Lions from throughout the district are expected to attend.
