In Benson, the price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline declined from $2.61 to $2.59. In Bisbee, the price decreased during the two-week period from $2.55 to $2.53. The price in Douglas dropped from $2.60 to $2.54 per gallon. In Huachuca City, the price decreased from $2.56 to $2.54. In Sierra Vista, the price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline declined from $2.51 to $2.47. In Tombstone, the price dropped during the two-week period from $2.53 to $2.51. Willcox saw gas prices decrease from $2.52 to $2.49 during the two-week period.
One year ago, the nationwide average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline, according to the EIA, was $4.11, which is $1.58 higher than its current price. At the state level, according to AAA Arizona, the price a year ago was $4.07, which is $1.54 higher than the current price per gallon. At the county level, according to the CER survey, the price a year ago was $3.97, which is $1.45 higher than the price from the most recent survey.
