August 4


ELFRIDA                                                                  

Criminal Damage:   A Family Restaurant in Elfrida reported a broken window. The employee on scene did not notice anything missing.  Damage to the window is estimated at $50

August 5

DOUGLAS                                                                   

Wanted Person:  An undocumented alien, Ernesto Lopez-Cos was arrested at the United States Border Patrol Station, located in Douglas, AZ on a valid felony warrant out of Los Angels Sheriff Office, California for original charges of possession of Dangerous Drugs. 

Burglary:  An unknown person (s) made unlawful entry into an abandoned trailer in the 1300 block of W. Oak Ave located in Douglas, AZ and stole jewelry and other items estimated at approximately $950.00.

Domestic Violence: Fernando Guillen was arrested for Domestic Violence/Disorderly Conduct after throwing a glass of beer on his girlfriend, and then throwing the glass at her. This took place in the 3200 block of Gladiola Ave.

Wanted Person: Marcos Antonio Solis was arrested at 1588 E. Trogon Trail on a misdemeanor warrant from AZ Department of Public Safety, for failure to appear.

August 6

DOUGLAS                                                                   

Missing Person: Guadalupe Vega Vega, an illegal alien, was reported missing after crossing into the United States from Mexico.  Vega’s brother had last seen him in the area of Hwy 80 MP377.  Vega was later located deceased in the area.

Theft: Unknown person or persons took two horses valued at $1600.00 dollars from the 5000 block of E. Highway 80 in Douglas.

ELFRIDA                                                                      

Agency Assist: On 08-05-2009 at approximately 1542 hours, Sheriffs Deputies assisted the Department of Public Safety with a traffic stop on Hwy 191 MP 24. US Border Patrol K-9 Officers also assisted in a vehicle search resulting in the discovery of several bundles of marijuana in the vehicle. Two female subjects, Shawna Cailteux and Ana Garcia were arrested by DPS and transported to Sierra Vista Detention for processing.

August 7

DOUGLAS                                                         

Wanted Person: Jesus Miguel Diaz Abril was arrested for Driving on a Suspended License and a misdemeanor for Failure to Appear.  Abril was arrested on Highway 80 milepost 371 in Douglas

ELFRIDA                                                                  

Injury Accident:  Edilberto Bernal lost control of his vehicle on S Ghost Town Trl in the Pearce Area.  Several passengers were ejected and sustained injuries.  Investigation continues.

August 8-9

DOUGLAS                                                                

Wanted Person: Juan Vildiola-Gamez, an undocumented alien, was arrested at the US Border Patrol station in Douglas on a misdemeanor warrant from Sierra Vista Justice Court.

 Theft: A GPS receiver was stolen from a Forest Service Road in Hereford. The receiver was valued at approx. $20,000.  

ELFRIDA                                                                  

Drugs:  Mecom Issac Carter was found to be in possession of approximately 81 lbs of marijuana stored in a wooden cabinet at his residence in Elfrida.  Carter was charged with possession of marijuana.   

Traffic:  Deputies stopped a vehicle traveling on W Davis Rd for speeding.  The driver, Angel Ruiz Monson had no driver’s license and was taken to Border Patrol for processing as an illegal immigrant.  The vehicle was towed for 30 days and is registered out of Douglas. 

Theft:  A male subject reported that sometime between December to May, person(s) unknown had removed some gold coins from his residence.  The caller stated the coins have a value of $9097.
